The children of today do not know how to behave in public. They throw things, call names, get into fights, bully one another. Why do they act this way you may ask. The answer is simple it is because they have no one to teach them proper behaviour. Just tonight I noticed a 20 something mother of 4 acting like a spoiled child. Rather then letting go of the past which she herself admits she can not remember what the problem between her and someone else she know was and moving on to a brighter future. She hides from this person stating she does not turst her, but she herself can not give a reason for not trusting her. All she remembers is a fight somewhere in the past. She does not even remember what the reason was. What kind of example is that setting for her children to see their mother holding a grudge for a reason even she herself does not remember?
Then we have another friend of mine who is going out next week to buy her teen age daughter a new outfit, because the daughter got into a fight with a boy in the neighborhood. Apparently the fight has been a long time coming. The mother is proud of her daughter for fighting the boy. In fact the girl does get picked on alot because she is shy and pretty and soft hearted, but I do have 1 problem with the way she did it. The boy was suposed to have been picking on her in school again, but she did not deal with it in school she waited till they got off the bus at home to hit the boy. I think if what he did to her was a big issue and it started in school that she should have delt with it in school. The girl herself explained why she waited she wanted to home court advantage so if she got in over her head her parents could bail her out. The mother plans to outfit that child with jewlery to be used as a wepon for the next fight she gets into. I would like to know how it improves a cituation to teach your child to hurt someone else?
I really do not hold out much hope for this younger generation as they do not have anyone to teach them how to get along calmly and peacefully. WHO WILL TEACH THEM IF THE PARENTS CAN OR WILL NOT?
